Mr. Bachelder, founder and senior partner of The Bachelder Firm, has concentrated in matters associated with executive compensation for over two decades. He is a tax lawyer and a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (having served as a member of the Committee on Taxation), the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.

Mr. Bachelder writes a column, "Executive Compensation", which provides current commentary on the subject of executive pay and is a regular feature of The New York Law Journal. He speaks regularly to professional groups such as the American Bar Association and the Practising Law Institute and at forums sponsored by academic institutions such as Stanford, Northwestern and the University of Delaware.
